When a Broken or Chipped Tooth Needs Emergency Care
A chipped tooth can seem minor at first, especially if it is not causing much pain. You might just notice that it feels rough or looks a little off. But sometimes there is more going on than what you can see, especially if the tooth is sensitive or the break goes deeper.
Having it checked early is usually the best move. A small chip can turn into a bigger problem if the tooth gets hit again, if you bite down the wrong way, or if the inside of the tooth is exposed. Taking care of it sooner can help protect the tooth and save you from dealing with more pain later.
